Here at PETA Europe we believe that animals deserve the most basic rights – consideration of their own best interests. We operate under the simple principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on or use for entertainment. Working through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement and direct action, we have made it our business to help animals in every way possible.
That’s why we’re proud to launch PETA Europe’s new corporate-partnership scheme, Business Friends, which will raise money to support the PETA Research and Education Foundation (PREF) while offering companies many high-profile advertising opportunities. PREF, a registered UK charity, focuses on developing and distributing unique research and educational materials that encourage children to respect and have compassion for animals.

Redwood Foods
By exclusive arrangement, the award-winning vegetarian and vegan food specialist The Redwood Company is PETA Europe’s first Business Friend and lead sponsor in the UK. Renowned for its compassion, Redwood was recently awarded ethical company status by the Ethical Company Organisation, which runs the UK’s only corporate level company accreditation scheme.
Redwood produces a wide variety of natural, plant-based, healthy foods that are good for people, the environment and animals. This totally animal-free range includes dairy-free cheeses as well as alternatives to meat and fish, all sold under the Cheatin’, Cheezly and Vegideli brand names.
Keith Stott of Redwood says that the company is delighted to become PETA Europe’s first Business Friend: “In PETA Europe, we have found a compassionate partner that closely mirrors our own beliefs and ideals. We have been particularly impressed by PREF’s charitable education programmes and are pleased that our sponsorship will help its groundbreaking work to stop animal abuse and suffering.”
